![]() ![]() ![]() The main problem is that a chunk of this time is spent in a frustrating process of trial and error. With 40 puzzles to push through and both targets and coins - offering bonus 'surprises' for the adventurous Line Rider to collect - a hearty few hours of play can be achieved from the Story mode. Once you've got past the first in a series of highly unnecessary cut-scene sequences, the Story mode is welcoming and deep enough to merit sustained play. This isn't to say it doesn't have any content at all, however. Even at a budget cost (twenty pounds in the UK), Line Rider Freestyle lacks the content and presentation to back up its price. To be honest, we're still waiting for the answer. ![]() When versions for the DS and Wii were announced under the title Line Rider Freestyle, though, the main question on everybody's lips was: "Why will this be worth paying for when I can play it for free on the web?" The game, created by Slovenian student Boštjan Čadež in 2006, has been a worldwide Internet smash, with millions of tracks created so you can drop Bosh, the sledge-wielding main character, down everything from suicidal sheer cliffs to amazing pieces of art. With Line Rider, you can happily recreate these moments of bliss by taking virtual rollercoaster rides down user-created mountaintops. Not the kind of sledging that involves cricket players talking dirty, of course, but rather whizzing down a snowy hill on a rickety piece of wood or bin liner. Created levels can be sent to friends and lay out in the network, allowing other players to overcome your designs.Everybody's nostalgic about sledging. Game mechanics are similar to Little Big Planet. Use limited tools and opportunities, trying to bring one of the protagonists to the finish. If the essence of the first is to ride in pleasure, the second is represented by three heroes: Bosch, Chasom or Bailey. However, Line Rider 2: Unbound expands the boundaries of the first game, allowing you to play in two modes: freestyle and history. With the help of an improved Wiimote interface, the lines themselves are fixed and become smooth, or artificial intelligence brings your ideas to complete readiness. The game itself pushes and tells how to make the track even better and more interesting. You can draw both in black and white colors and in color. Using the ability of an extensive editor, it is allowed to embody any of your ideas, including the most insane. Your task with it to design the most incredible and interesting levels, which then have to personally roll up, trying to overcome obstacles and traps. Line Rider 2: Unbound - two-dimensional logic game, combining competitive elements. ![]()
